How to automatically add comments
In my Calibre Library of more than 3700 books, more than 1100 have no comment. I have adding a few one by one, but it takes forever. Is there a way to automatically add comments to a number of selected books?

Select multiple books, then use the Edit metadata->Download metadata and covers option from the drop down menu. IIRC the keyboard shortcut is Ctrl+D.

Ctrl-D Downloads metadata

E with multiple books select is for adding ( and removing in some fields) the SAME value to all selected
