I want to continue using the Calibre "Kobo Touch Extended" add-on (metadata management, series in an author's books, collections, etc.), so I had to downgrade Calibre to version 7.26. Is it possible to disable this option in Calibre when sending books to Kobo and keep the Kobo Touch add-on? What are the steps?

Thank you very much |

As for calling Kobo Utilities abndaonware. I disagree. I would only call something abandonware if the author abandoned it and nobody else took up the maintenance. |

It didn't have one official maintainer anymore so all fixes were community-contributed. |

I have a custom column (Y/N) setup to tell the driver if I want ePub or KePub. In the driver, I have a small template to tell the driver which format I want. |

Speaking of kobo utils, I’m still unclear on one thing about it. It backs up reading stats, and page number to the columns you set up for it as described in the documentation. Do those data points get sent back to the kobo device if you delete the kepubs, and sync them again later?

Is there any difference between
a) importing a kepub from standard ebooks direct to kobo Or b) importing the epub from standard ebooks into calibre and then having calibre convert it to kepub when it sends to kobo? |

A. you don't know how the KePub was made. B. You can use calibre or KePubify to make the KePub. |
