Kobo Libra Colour sync books from Google Drive to Kobo Web Reader

Hi everybody.
I recently bought a Kobo Libra Colour and I was a Kindle user.

I have a question: I sync my books with Google Drive and this is fine, but when I want to use the Kobo Web Reader or the Kobo App I do not see the books from Google Drive directory. It seems that you can see only the books that you buy from the Kobo site.

How can I read the books I have in the Google Drive directory from the Kobo web reader or the app (of course from the point I was reading through the Kobo)? Is it possible? Because I need that function...for example I want to read my book in my phone with the sync of the progression...

You cannot. Kobo only syncs the reading progress of Kobo purchases, not sideloaded books.

Thank you for this answer! It saved me a lot of time because I was trying to figure out how to do just that--get sideloaded books to show up in the app.

I found something online called Calibre-Web that I thought might do it, but I couldn't find much information about it which made me nervous to try it.
