Kobo Connection Wifi problems

Hi

It seems the router has to be connected to the internet for the WIFI to come up.... totally rubbish

Connects to SSID , DHCP gives it an IP.... checks for something on the internet, all I can see is 2 UDP packets going out and then... it disconnects.

Can anyone tell me what its looking for and how to sort.

It used to look for

http://www.apple.com/library/test/success.html

but its changed on newer firmwares...help !

You can run a server on the device (you can use httpd of busybox) and redirect via the hosts file www.msftncsi.com to your address and provide the ncsi.txt file there. The content of the file is

EDIT: Rereading your post I get that you use your router for the job. So my note on using a server on the device has no point.

Thank you, a couple of hours after I posted I found that online somewhere , all sorted now, Kobo connects to my development board perfectly
