@HDinis09: No. Checking the sticky would have told you that.

Another dumb question: is there a way to auto check if and when a factory image for 5.11.2 is released? Like following a topic and be mailed when updated or something like that

It won't necessarily help, we know the exploit is fixed there.

KT4 can be jailbroken on firmware 5.11.0 or below only.

Rename <book-title>.epub to <book-title>.png and send it to your reader email.

Hi
Does anybody know which firmware version KT4 ordered in EU currently usually ship with? Any luck to get 5.11 (or lower) or it is likely to be a more recent firmware? Thanks! |

@datanoise: Extremely unlikely, as that was the release FW.

Thanks to ilovejedd I was able to able to jailbreak my PW4.
I followed the instructions from this thread and OpenSesame. Now that I have a working JB and I installed the JB Fix to make sure the JB should survive updates. My question is whether or not I should block updates or install the latest firmware. Are there any benefits to newer firmware? |

Hi, I still have a KT4 with firmware version 5.11.2 (not factory version, sadly), are there any news about unlocking it? I read something about unlocking PW4 with firmware >5.12, but I don't know if it's the same with my model. Thanks in advance for any answer!

Hello,
I have a Kindle Paperwhite 3 (G90) with Firmware 5.9.7. Do I have to update the Firmware to 5.12.2 before doing the Jailbreak ? Or jailbreak can't be done on 5.12.2? Thank you |
