WINDLEBURY lies in the midst of undulating meadows which are almost always brightly green on account of the heavy rainfall. People who have lived there when they were young look hack at the red roofs and tall church spire of the little town through a delicate curtain of fine showers, hut those who still remain there consider it quite a dry place, or, if not exactly dry, no wetter than its neighbours
