Codecs for the edge?
Where and how can we download codecs to expand the range of media that we can view on our devices?
I would like to be able to watch AVI or MOV files that I get from my digital camcorders. |

There's many codecs already installed on EE include avi, flv, wmv, mpg..., but officially they support only mp4

I wanted to watch some MOV files, because that is what my movie camera takes. It didn't work.
Good to know that AVI works. I can convert it on my linux computer. Can we convert media, video or audio, from one format to another with a program like handbrake or Devede? |

Of course.
FWIW, I find the following to be quick and easy for batches (not sure if they have a version for Linux, though): http://www.koyotesoft.com/indexEn.html |
