Classic Does Nook Work with Cablevision WiFi

New user of Nook and can find public WiFi hotspots but was wondering;

Does Nook work with Cablevision/Optimum WiFi network?

If so, How do I register the Nook device in the network so they can 'handshake and connect"? I scoured the Optimum Wifi Supt pages to no information on this.

Any Suggestions?

You can hook up to Optimum. I just got my Nook last week. If you have wireless router in your house and go to the wifi connect part of your menu, the available wifi show on the LCD, select yours and enter your password for your home wifi and it connects. When out, go to where the optimum wifi spots are listed on their website map - to connect you will see it listed on LCD as wifi services available and be prompted to enter your optimum user name and password. Also I think it will also be easier now that ATandT wireless is also provided on the Nooks.

On optimumwifi.com, go to the section about automatic sign in and then click on "set up a browserless device". It walks you through putting in your mac address of your nook and asks for the usual info (email address, etc). Then it's set up for the enxt time ur out with it. Hope this is helpful. It worked for me.
