transferring books between readers
Using Calibre, is it possible to share books with others who have a Sony eReader registered on another computeror, for that matter, any reader that reads ePub or Adobe Digital Editions?

You can easily share public domain drm free ebooks (as found here) between users. Any books encrypted with drm you can share by removing the drm but removing drm in the USA is not legal and copying and sharing copyrighted material is not legal in most countries.
