Error Comunicating with Device

Hello, kovidgoyal, I just had a problem with the Calibre when I connect my 505 to computer. The calibre pop up a window says error comunicating with device, after I connected my 505. then I disconnect my 505, and " invalid format" displayed on my 505. I don't know what happened with the calibre or my device. the follow is the screenshot of the problem, please help kovidgoyal.

try formatting your device's internal memory

but there are some original files in internal memory. Do I have to backup these files first?
And another question, that I cannot find any option in calibre to set text-indent. Could you tell me how to set text-indent while I convert txt to lrf by using calibre? Thank you for the patience.

yes if you have other files copy them off first. Set the overrride css option to

p {text-indent : 5em }
