Anybody tried to put their own dictionaries in the Kindle NT, if yes does it work like before (selected dictionary based on the language meta-data of the book, possibility to add a deDRMed mobi dictionary) ?

Yes, I tried it and it works. I have put my English-German Dictionary from Pons onto the new K4 and selected it as the default dictionary for English language.
