Experience from Amazon's Customer Service
In my earlier post, I said that my screen was broken, everyone advised me to contact the Amazon CS about it.
There was a helpful menu on the contact us page, that allowed me to choose my kindle device, and the problem with it. After that I had to choose from three options, e-mail(this was grayed out), phone and chat. I chose chat, because my country wasn't listed in the telephone option. I had to wait about a minute until an indian woman(?) joined. She was very helpful, I explained everything truthfully ( I dropped it.) my warranty was over, so I couldn't send it back, but here are the reduced price products: 1. Certified Refurbished Kindle, 6" E Ink Display, Wi-Fi (Black) original cost is $89.00 but we are offering at $47. 20 http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0074BW8E4 2. Certified Refurbished Kindle Paperwhite, 6" High Resolution Display with Built-in Light, Wi-Fi [Previous Generation] original cost is $139.00 but we are offering at $79.20 http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0077SPHM4 3. Kindle Fire HD 7", Dolby Audio, Dual-Band Wi-Fi, 3. Kindle Fire HD 7", Dolby Audio, Dual-Band Wi-Fi, 16 GB original cost is $199.00 but we are offering at $109.00. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0074BW614 4. Certified Refurbished Kindle Fire HD 8.9", Dolby Audio, Dual-Band Wi-Fi, 16 GB original cost is $284.00 but we are offering at $169.20. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00849SHGI So my overall experience was quite good, I think the offers are quite generous too. But sometimes I had to wait 2-3 minutes for her to reply. So, what do you think? Did I help? Also, which offer do you think is the best? |

If you don't need the light and want an e-ink reader go for option 1.
Option 2, did she say if it was the current generation (I.e a PW2) or a previous (PW1). If it's a PW2 that's a very good deal. PW1 has screen issues. Sorry ignore me, it's a PW1. Could be a good screen, but equally could be a bad. I can't comment about the Fires. |
