Feature Request

When importing it would be useful to have Calibre ask to if it should delete duplicate books at the source file location, as well as the not re copying duplicates into Calibre.

Development is not the place for feature requests. You should have read the sticky https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=122042 , before thinking of posting there

Feature requests are best done by opening a Feature request bug report on the tracker (link on Calibre page)

Deleting the original ebook from the site it is imported from sounds like a good feature to me. However, to not import the book (what you call not copying it) could potentially cause a lot of problems with the database as it is designed.
