Perhaps you should consider that fonts seem to be a very personal choice? One friend of mine likes reading with sans-serif fonts for which I consider him a typographical barbarian. This does not stop me from believing that it's his choice and if he is happy with it, no skin off my nose.

FWIW, I favour Georgia, and have done for many years. I find that it allows me to ignore the appearance, and enjoy the substance. YMMV, of course. |

How about that, the old adage "you learn something new everyday" appears to be true. I didn't know that I was a typographical barbarian.
![]() I like sans serif fonts. I'm currently using Gil Sans. |

In my eyes, yes. With that opinion and a loonie, you can get a small McCafe coffee.

If you have dyslexia, a sans-serif font is the best to read wit as long as the characters are not too close together.

I learned about some great fonts from inspector tool. Cormorant Garamond is used by Vatican webpage for titles, and is now my alternative to other Garamond fonts that are staple of my reading. EB Garamond, is still my go to font, but I've completely abandoned Adobe Garamond, its predominance in scientific and history related books and pdf's, made me dislike it.

I find that the Atkinson Hyperlegible Next font, created by the Braille Institute, is easy to read and great for my astigmatism. My eyes don't get nearly as tired.

It's not supposed to be regularitalic. It's supposed to be italic. Last edited by JSWolf; 04-21-2026 at 12:58 PM. |

Good to know. The italics generated in KOReader are readable, but looking closer, I can see how different the a is, for example. Now the million dollar question:how long will it take before it bugs me enough to fix?

You should fix it before it starts to bug you.
