How do I do a hard reset?

Could some kind soul please tell me how to do a hard reset? I can't find the answer in the manual, and customer service doesn't know either.

The particular problem I'm having is that although I can make notes and do bookmarks I can't recall or open notes. All I get is a window saying 'Sorry! the Application Reader has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.'
There is a smaller window which says 'Force close.' This does close the ebook.

I used to be able to make notes and recall them, and did it often while proof reading.

How to perform a hard reset.
Solution

Follow these steps to perform a hard reset on your Reader™ device:

With the Reader powered on, on the bottom of the device, press and hold the Power button until the Device Shutdown screen appears.
In the Device Shutdown screen, press Yes .
Press the Power button again to turn the Reader on.
While the screen displays opening book..... , simultaneously press and hold down the Page Turn (Next) and Back buttons.

Allow the Home screen to fully load (Loading... should no longer flash in the top left corner of your screen) and then

do the following button sequence while still holding down the Page Turn (Next) and Back buttons:
Release - Press - Release the Back button only and then Release the Page Turn (Next) button.
In the Would you like to execute Factory Initialize screen, press Yes .
Press the Power button again to turn on the Reader. The Reader will be set to factory settings.

Thank you @luvduchovny.

To add for future users, the Back-button is the little arrow to the right of the Home-button (not the Page Turn-back button on the far left).

wow. it's like the tech version of the physical twister game...complicated further by timing issues. why they couldn't provide a pin-hole style button (the type where you insert a paper clip and hold for a few seconds) is beyond me.
