What kind of security concerns? If you mean using the web browser, all traffic goes through Amazon so you may want to be mindful of what you send on your Kindle.

Any, I turned to my security indistry news magazine this morning and they were talking about a posibility of security concerns in electronic book readers. I am attmpeting to see if anything specific has been found. The security magazines are not giving any specifics but generalized posibility of warnings.

Everything but Kindle Fire is pretty safe.
All previous Kindles have been Linux based (aka Unix) and as such have few if any problems. Kindle Fire is Android based (which in itself is Linux based) seems to have had a few problems with certain non-approved apps and I've recently read about drive-by attacks using the browser and web. http://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2012/...nload-attacks/ |

That's Android in general. The Kindle Fire is not a dedicated reader. So as far as security holes for our favorite readers, the answer is still no. Unless maybe a rooted T1 or rooted nook.
