Greetings from Burbank, CA

Hello Everyone,

I just registered a couple of days ago and I've found the forum and wiki invaluable!

I've been an avid eBook reader since the Palm III days and I recently purchased a Sony PSR-505 reader.

Less than five days later, I managed to customize the device and grab some incredibly well-formatted eBooks from the forums.

Glad to be here and many thanks for past and future help!

Regards.

No, the avatar is a regular background photograph (of a beach scene) that I used to display a 3D Amiga logo that I created in a CAD program.

Unfortunately for my "smart-ability", I bought the silver one. Waiting on a chocolate brown leather cover to come in the store...

As far as my preference in reading. I grew up on Jules Verne, and lots of classical literature.

I also create manuals in PDF (for work), Word and PowerPoint.

For the last two days, I've been testing calibre, however, I'm not happy with the format of the database/filenames. I'll use it just to make changes to the metadata, if required and to convert from other formats.

The Chocolate brown sounds good (I loooove chocolate! The cover should be nice too)

HI MacHaggis and welcome to MobileRead. Like you, I read on a PDA (iPaq) for years but am now hoplessly hooked on eInk and my Sony (Blue)
