Home advantage counts for a lot in cricket; as does winning the toss.
England had a lot going for them this time and won the series 2 -1.
The real challenge will be defending the Ashes in Australia in eighteen months - we got steamrollered 5-0 last time!

steamrollers ? are those allowed in cricket ?? i thought it was supposed to a civilised and non-violent sport ??

As I remember the Aussies were thought to be the better team before the match started so the British victory is that much sweeter.
