Mike Shatzkin: What Publishers Can Do to Flourish in a Community-Centric Web

Mike Shatzkin is a a publishing industry veteran and a frequent poster on ebooks and related matters on his blog at http://www.idealog.com/blog/. At this year's BookExpo America, he gave a speech titled “Stay Ahead of the Shift: How Content-Centric Publishers Can Flourish in a Community-Centric Web World”, in which he made several interesting predictions about the state of publishing 20 years from now. Worth a look and a discussion on MobileRead.

The video, slides and full text of the speech is available here: http://www.idealog.com/stay-ahead-of...tric-web-world.
