Strange Mail issues

I've been having some strange mail issues with Calibre. I send through a gmail account and have sent both books and news articles from Calibre to my Kindle many times via email.

Seems like lately if I try to send multiple items, it will send the first item correctly. Then it just kind of hangs on the next "send" job and does not send any additional items. If I exit out of the program and then restart Calibre, it will again send one item and no more.

Last night I was starting to use the news feeds again (wanted to try out the new Kindle 3.1 software features - look great by the way), and had to exit and restart calibre between each of them to send them to my Kindle.

Anyone else seen anything similar or have any ideas? Thanks!

calibre waits 5 minutes between emails when using gmail to avoid triggerring gmail's SPAM controls.
