Weird Characters After Conversion
Getting weird characters after sending an ebook via "send to Kindle" app , I changed the extension to .png and .txt but getting the same results.
I attach a pic. Edit: should have added when conversion done with calibre the characters don't appear but I really want to send it to my Amazon account as too have synchronisation between device's. Last edited by Gibbo; 02-12-2020 at 04:02 PM. |

That is typically caused by the HTML content of the source EPUB failing to declare the character encoding. The encoding is typically UTF-8, but Amazon's kindlegen assumes a different encoding resulting in incorrect characters.
One easy way to fix this is to perform an EPUB to EPUB conversion in calibre. |
