Next page button skips twice
Hey. I bought an used Kindle 4NT. Unfortunately it often skips two pages. It's a little annoying. Is there any chance to repair it?

Both buttons? or just one?
Both might imply a board level failure. One might imply dust or ick. |

I guess only one. I'm going to heck it out properly.
It is a pity I don't have a painless skill to open the case. Is it easy to get to button? |

I saw a Youtube video on replacing the battery. They said to use a hairdryer on the back to loosen the adhesive. Then you pry it off around the edges. From there you could try blowing any dust out.

Before I'd start disassembling anything, I'd do a restart, and if that fails, a Factory Reset.

Try a little compressed air around the button.

It's also entirely possible that you're pressing it twice very quickly and not recognizing that you're doing it.

Nope, I was trying to not tap but to hold button for a while. If jump happen it always skips two sites.
Today I have time so I'm gonna to check dust and ick possibility. First dust without disassembling. |
