Another way to make PDF with embedded font

I am not sure if anyone aware of this. An alternative way other than the Microsoft Word + Adobe Professional (which cost $$$) is the free office application from Sun, the OpenOffice.

I used OpenOffice.org v3.1, I copy/paste a Chinese book into its word editor and choose "Export PDF". the created PDFs have Chinese fonts embedded.

I tested both Triditional and Simplified Chinese in the PDF, My PRS 600 can read them without problem. Plus, you can change the font size in the PRS 600.

Cool.

The next thing you want to try might be, use command line to batch convert desired books into PDF files
