U.S. Army Survival Manual - PDF
I found someone selling this, so I went looking for a free copy. Since it was created by the US military, it is not under copyright.

P.S. This isn't just a wilderness manual, it's about _survival_. If you are unsure of the difference, read Appendix A.

I have alot of US Gov't technical manuals and such... Amazingly some of the better stuff out there written on a variety of subjects.... Wonder how long before they figure out a way to take them out of the public domain... You know, for security reasons...

Oh. There is a US manual from some department that includes how to act if there is an alien invasion. It actually is real. It doesn't actually acknowledge they exist, but really it's for a "Just in case" scenario. I think it was FEMA, not the CIA or Army or anything.

I think Adams' work is probably a better guide... (My previous reference)

I think this is the reference, and from what I've seen, it isn't an actual FEMA manual. http://www.amazon.com/Officers-Guide.../dp/0912212268

Not that FEMA doesn't have a plan, though knowing them it involves a ARP 2500 synthethizer and making sure to keep all those uppity civilians in line...
