TEXT TO SPEECH KINDLE TOUCH
I have a kindle touch with 5.3.7.3 firmware (The last one).
Is there a way to continue using text to speech?

I had use it in spanish for long time thanks to jailbreak software, but now with the new firmware i don´t find the way.

Have you checked books you have read before the update?
My text to speech works and I have the same update.
Note not all books have text to speech.
Was your entire kindle in Spanish?

To change the language on your kindle:Menu, Settings, device options, language and dictionaries, language.
Now on text to speech, open the book you want, tap near top middle, tap the menu button, turn on text to speech.
Now please know that if the publisher doesn't allow text to speech, it will be greyed out.

Thats all right, but whith an earlier firmware version i was able to instal jailbreak and i could use TTS in every book, not only de allowed ones.
My question is to know if it already exists another way to use TTS in every book in the newest firmware version.

I don't believe that hack was maintained.

However, if you DeDRM your books it will also remove the flag that tells the Kindle to refuse to enable TTS.
