Curious About Metadata Makeup?
Hey Everyone,
Quick question, Does the metadata that Calibre uses to download/upload data from the computer into the reader contain just the book information and some connection code or does it contain anything else regarding the computer that it is connected to that also gets stored in the reader. Just a security question in case my new reader is ever lost or stolen. I don't want any personal names or identifiable information stored on the reader? Thanks for your responses. |

No the data contains nothing other than the books and their metadata. It's in simple json files, check for yourself. .metadata.calibre and .driveinfo.calibre

Thank you for the answer
Thanks for the information. This answers my question. Just a security matter that I needed input on. That's a relief in case it actually ever happens.
