SD Class support

Hi, Just purchased the PocketPro and want to find out if my 16GB Class 6 SDHC card would be compatible?

Note that on Astak's site- the FAQ states that only class 4 and below are compatible.

But here on the forums- https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=58181

user Morlac reports that the PocketPro was reading from a class 6 SD card.

Anyone using Class 6 SD's successfully on their PockePro's?

Well, some more Scroogling revealed that SD Classes are backwards but not forward compatible- so a Class 6 SDHC card would (theoretically) be usable in a device (eg ebook reader) specced for Class 4 or below.

I am using a Patriot 4G Class 6 with no problems other than it is durn hard to fill it up with books

Tell me, i have a 16GB Class 4 and only used 1.4 GB full of books/manga in pdf

Actually even a class 2 would likely work but hard to find. The class is the data rate the device can support while writing but this is really intended for camera use in showing how quickly an image can be recorded on the card. It has little use in reading eBooks (or basically anything else).

Using a 16G SanDisk III in mine. It doubles as a spare SD card for my camera (in times of emergency).
