I am just about finished formatting it in Book Desigener. I'll have it up here in IMP and LRF maybe today or maybe today or maybe tomorrow. The PRC will have to wait till Monday.

I'm curious, how long does it take usually to create an e-book with Book Designer (with proper TOC and metadata) ?

But, to do a proper PRC from there following HarryT's directions, it takes maybe 5 min roughly. |

If anyone wants to dive in right away with eReader or other formats with an automated conversion, while the nice formatting is in progress by various contributers, you can find it here... http://manybooks.net/titles/brustsot...f_freedom.html
I haven't tried it yet, so don't know the quality of the formatting. However, if you are a Firefly fan, this particular book might be worth waiting for the "nice" versions to appear. I've got the Firefly DVDs set, but only watched it once. I think Alex was the one that turned me on to it. Anyway, it's about time I pull it out. It will be a great warm up before diving into the book! Kudos to Steven Brust for a generous giveaway! |

For Kindle users: if you're using the Feedbooks guide, update it, and then simply search for "My Own Kind of Freedom"
Or you can search for it on the mobile website: http://feedbooks.mobi |

The book's set after the end of the TV series but before the movie Serenity. If you're not too familiar with the TV series, it's probably worth another watching, because there are all sorts of clever little references to past episodes that you might otherwise miss.

I really like that one aswell. But in terms of diverse characters in an awesome setting, Firefly was just great. And the western style, real guns and all the flawed characters made it really interesting.

Yeah, the mash-up between SF and Western is great. Have you seen Cowboy Bebop by the way ?

Another great western-styled SF series is Trigun. Starts like a comedy but get quite serious later. Badass music by Tsuneo Imahori too.
