Had occasion to review this dual-boot tablet for TeleRead. About the only way to get a device that dual-boots both Windows and Android anymore is to go with a no-name Chinese OEM like this, because Microsoft and Google get upset at any "name" company (such as Asus) trying to do something like that.

I find that the strengths of Android and Windows complement each other's weaknesses. Android is a great tablet OS but a poor desktop OS, whereas Windows is a great desktop OS but a poor tablet OS. So when you can use it with a keyboard and mouse, you boot Windows, but if you're not where you can unpack the peripherals you can use it in Android just fine.

Oh, and yes: I find it makes a pretty decent e-book reader whether you boot Android or Windows.

This is generally not a problem with either OS. You may want to use Wi-Fi to download books but after that you can work without any outside connection.
