One important thing though, /etc/inetd.conf is included in the bundle and will likely overwrite any modifications that you have made. The standard modifications to inetd.conf will work as before.
If you haven't signed an NDA, then it isn't proprietary information. And if you can discover it, any other of their competitors can.

Tried sideloading on Aura HD for posted links. Was not booting. Could have been stuck at rebuilding database, I had over 1300 ebooks loaded in main memory using a custom driver for sideloading K-epubs made from Kobo extended device driver for calibre. So my case is a little out of the ordinary. Restoring now.

It took several minutes when I updated my Aura for the upgrade to finish. I had about 1600 books in the main memory due to issues with 2.5.2 and a large number of books on the uSD card. With the books moved back to the uSD card after the update, I'm still seeing a delay in the boot process but it's in the 2 minute range now which is liveable since I don't power cycle my Aura that often.

Doubtful. Phoenix would be an eInk screen reader. Perhaps with that large eInk screen that Sony demoed in their 13.3(?) reader -- larger, more durable and flexible were the buzzwords being tossed around AFAIR.

I finally got frustrated with the lack of 2.6.1 upgrades over Wi-fi and resorted to using my Android tablet to sideload the update. Many thanks to the threadkeepers for providing the clear instructions that made that possible.

The link and instructions are on page one of this very thread. My only innovation was to connect my Glo to my tablet and use an Android ZIP manager to copy the firmware files over.

There seems to be some code for brightness controls related to Phoenix, so I guess it is not a flexible-screen device (unless it is a flex screen with a light, which would be awesome :-)

The three thoughts I have for it are:

- Mini sized with light
- Glo Mark 2
- Non-limited edition version of the Aura HD. Though I have no idea what the difference would be. Maybe just making it available in different colours like black, white and brown.
