Hi from New Zealand
Frank here - I love reading, but my tastes run more toward non-fiction and technical material - I love books on the current breakthroughs in the field of physics and I credit a text-to-speech program on my PC for getting me through Hawkings "Brief history of time"
I'm hoping my new Kindle will arrive shortly - I found a guy on "Craigs List" in the US that was selling Kindle DX's for very cheap - mainly because they didn't have the 3G network connection. While this might be a big draw-back in the US, it's fine for New Zealand since we don't have the service down here anyway. I"m quite happy to download the books I buy to my PC and trasfer them to my reader from there. I'll try to keep up with you technical folks, but probably won't have much to contribute for a while. From what I've seen here so far, this looks like a great crowd and I'm glad I found you. - Frank |

Hi Frank and welcome to MobileRead.
Lot of science book readers on this site. In fact I just read a Briefer History of Time not to long ago and am in the middle of Physics of the Impossible by Michael Kaku. And there was a thread recently in the Reading Recommendations forum on good science books to read here https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62517 |

Kia Ora Frank & welcome to MR. Yep, this is an outstanding crowd - lots of opinions, fun, help, books and nonsense - what more can you ask from a forum about books.
