Converting print-enabled-but-otherwise-DRMed PDFs for Kindle 1
Hey, new friends,
I'm finishing up a hack to convert DRMed but print-enabled PDFs for use on the Kindle 1. Under any conceivable argument, this should be as legal as printing onto dead trees and scanning on a flatbed, so I'm comfortable being public about this. But, for optimality's sake, could someone tell me the native screen size and dot pitch for the Kindle 1's screen? Would this geometry be workable for conversion with calibre? Please LMK. |

I will, of course, post the requisite commands once I confirm that they work.
