Aber, wie Du richtig sagst, Preisvergleiche durch den Endkunden sind auch in diesem Bereich wichtig ...

Der Titel "Sturz der Titanen" kostet bei Amazon als gebundene Version 28 Euro, also stimmt das mit der Preisersparniss. Ein TB gibt es noch nicht.

Ich finde allerdings 20 Euro für eine Datei auch sehr heftig, aber das muss jeder selber wissen.

So richtig gefallen tun mir diese neuen "Ebookhändler" Schlecker, Mediamarkt etc. nicht, vielleicht ist das aber eine Frage der Gewöhnung. Letztendlich braucht man für Ebooks keine klassischen Buchläden.

Nein, ich will nur faire Preise für e-Books.
Man könnte ein e-Book ja schon vom 1. Tag an zum Taschenbuch-Preis anbieten. (Oder besser noch 10-20% darunter)

Auch wenn jetzt Hinz und Kunz meinen auf den E-Book Zug aufspringen zu müssen bleibt das Angebot ja leider im Grossen und Ganzen das Gleiche, da ja diese ganzen neuen Händler doch wieder zentral von einem bis zwei Grosshändlern beliefert werden.
Na ja, vielleicht wird das Medium dadurch ja auch schneller verbreitet und zieht ein grösseres Angebot und niedrigere Preise nach sich (zumindest das grössere Angebot, an die Preise kann ich noch nicht so recht glauben).

Richtig, kommt's nicht von libri (wie bei Mediamarkt), kommt's von ciando (wie eben hier). Es sind die beiden großen Distributoren, die den Markt beliefern.

Umso wichtiger, dass es unabhängige Anbieter wie beam gibt, bei denen auch kleinere Verlage eine Chance haben, die für "die beiden Großen" eher uninteressant sind.

Poppaea! In bin entsetzt! Gehörst Du etwa zu den Verehrern der Idealmaße 80 (Jahre alt) 40 (Grad Fieber) 20 (Mio Euro)?

Aber zum Thema - ich find's nicht schlecht, daß jetzt ein paar mehr Spieler sich im deutschen ebook-Markt etablieren. Jetzt müßten sie nur noch das leidige DRM auf Bibliotheks-ebooks beschränken (die einzige Anwendung, bei der ein DRM sinnvoll ist, imho; ansonsten gilt das Flint-Zitat unten immer noch) und ihre Preispolitik an dem Baen'schen Vorbild anlehnen ...
