Why the sgc-1 entry

The following is the code for the "Title Page" I have just complerted. A
Code:
div.sgc-1 {font-style: italic}
has been inserted by Sigil. There is NO italic any where in the code. Have I done something or is this a feature of Sigil?

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" standalone="no"?>
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN"
  "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd">
<!-- saved from url=(0056) -->

<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>

  <link href="../Styles/main.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />

<style type="text/css">

</style>
</head>

<body>
  <h2 title="TITLE PAGE"><img alt="" src="../Images/TitlePage.jpg" title="" /></h2>

Did you split a file ?
If the original had the <div,
then the fragments will also, even if not needed in the fragment

The cod existed BEFORE the split

No, that is just a cleanup that you need to do by hand under those (post split) conditions.

In reality that bit of code hurts only your sense of tidiness
