Today was more early fall than late summer. The high temperature was in the mid 70s (F), with mostly sunny skies and a very occasional breeze.

It's still hot. Today will be slightly cooler than yesterday at 29C. But that's still too warm IMHO. Today we're going to get rain and thunderstorms, hopefully it'll cool down after that. Tomorrow will be a lot cooler. Saturday will be a warm day of around 27C, but that's just one day. After that temperatures will go down to regular temperatures for this time of year.

After two days of okay temperatures (22-24C) today is another hot day of 28-30C. Luckily the house had a chance to cool down a bit, so if we keep the windows and curtains closed it won't heat up too much during the day. From tomorrow temperatures are predicted to drop by around 10C to 18-20C. Those are nice temperatures, IMHO.

Quite windy, but sunny and warm. After a couple of days of dull grey skies,a pleasant change!

So are my new kittens... I have a feeling one of them will be quite nervous in a storm, but one will be great. The runt is super brave and the big one is scared of all noises. But the little one always rushes to check on her sister.
Luckily I will be at home most of the day on Thursday when the worst might get here. |

Here's hoping that Dorian turns early so it doesn't make a direct hit on the coast.

Dorian is weakening. It's bad for the Bahamas because of its slow travel speed, but good for the US because a direct hit by a Cat 5 storm is no longer in play.

Sunny and bright here; not cool exactly, but a persistant wind takes away some of the residual heat that it feels like we should be having.

From watching the Weather Channel all weekend I'm almost ashamed to say "Best weather on the planet".
My prayers go out to those people on Grand Bahama. |

And yes, 87 is just a tad warm, but luckily my home is at 500 feet elevation and work is 900 feet, so unless I have to go down to Honolulu it's usually a bit cooler where I hang out. So if you'd like to sample the best weather on the planet, just jump on an airplane and come on down. Don't forget to bring plenty of money. Last edited by wodin; 09-03-2019 at 07:31 PM. |
