Difference between the Onyx Boox Max2 and Max2 Pro?
What is the difference between the Max 2 and Max 2 Pro? There is a lot of confusion about this on the internet, and I suspect some sellers are trying to pass the former for the latter. Some websites claim the Max 2 retails at around $800 and the Pro at over $1000, but I haven't found the latter price anywhere yet. So what is the difference between the two models? Thanks.

as I heard, only difference is the size of internal storage.(64GB vs. 32GB)

My impression is that so far only a plain Max 2 is available, so currently there's probably not much room for practical confusion yet. But, yes, I also remember reading about plans for a higher storage Pro version, which might come out later, so when that happens things might get a bit trickier - although if the difference is in storage only that should be handleable.
Things actually seem trickier for the Note because that for that one the Pro model, when/if it appears, seems to have but only 64gb storage but also an HDMI port, which the non-pro is lacking. |

Thanks for the clarification. In that case I'd be happy to go for the Max 2 since I don't need the extra storage. I'm also debating going for the Note 10.3, which would probably suit my needs.
I can't believe how much confusion there is about the two versions, including among specialist websites that claim to review the Max 2 Pro when in reality they are talking about the regular version. https://goodereader.com/blog/electro...#disqus_thread I'm already seeing the same confusion about the Note and Note Pro. |

Information I found from Onyx
I've found a reply to another post from ONYX as I was searching for the answer to, The answer is "THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE OTHER THAN PACKAGING" nothing to do with internal storage of anything to do with the device full stop it's just the name was changed for international sales. Please see following link and you will find someone with the same question and see onyx answer the question.

Max 2 Pro does not exist. Onyx clarified the issue on Amazon.com. The variant was only taken into consideration, but no such e-reader was produced to date. If, the Max 2 Pro will come to the market, it will have indeed 64 gb of memory instead of 32. However Booxtor told me Onyx is not bringing any 13.3 inch e-reader this year. So the Pro variant simply does not exist.

According to the most recent answer given by the seller at amazon, Max2 pro does not exist as a retail product for consumers.
See the specific question and answer at amazon -> https://www.amazon.com/ask/questions...dp_dpmw_al_hza |

According to
https://ereader.store/en/13-3-inch-s...-white-40.html - glass screen (probably because of the scratch problems in the past) - more memory - more storage |

It mentions a «no more worries about memory» - but that is a claim that does not go along with the absence of an SD-Card slot... The specs are not full, it is not even clear if it has a jack socket - which nowadays is becoming not granted. |

so, same device but with 4gb of ram and 64gb of disk
I would love the extra ram. If I knew it before I wouldn't have bought the max 2 last month, shame. Quote:
no glass screen at all. If you look at the picture, you can even see that the screen is the same. It isn't even at the same level of the case like the note plus, it's still "sunken", not flushed Last edited by whopper; 10-11-2018 at 08:09 PM. |

Yeah no glass screen. I am wondering if this Max version has the same problems with scratches on the screen?
