Format of Nook Color magazines?

Does anyone know what file format the Nook Color magazines are in? Is it a proprietary Barnes & Noble format? My workplace had me buy a Kindle so that i could convert our magazine into its format. We're now wondering whether we can convert our magazine into the Nook Color magazine format. Anyone know if that's possible? We're not selling our magazine -- just trying to distribute it to our members in whatever formats they'd like.

The magazines on the Nook Color look sort of like PDFs, but they're obviously something different. I don't have a Nook Color so can't look at the files myself (am trying to figure out whether I should recommend we purchase one or not).

Thanks, Phyllis

I even tried to buy a Nook magazine so I could see what the file looked like. You can't even download them without either a Nook Color or a Nook Ipad.

Anyone have a Nook Color? Could you look at a Nook Magazine in your library and see what the file extension is?

Thanks, Phyllis

Thanks, but that seems to be talking about regular Nooks and EPUBs. The Nook Color is a whole different animal. Although it reads EPUBs, it reads something else too. The Nook magazines look exactly like a PDF. But I think it must be something different unless they have some sort of proprietary PDF reader. (And the fact that I can't download it without a Nook Color indicates to me that it's not a PDF.)

But I appreciate your looking that up. It's just not quite the information I'm trying to get at.

Thanks, Phyllis
