Free (nook/Kindle/iTunes/DRM-free) Stone of Destiny [Xtian YA Irish Folklore Fantasy]

The Stone of Destiny: A Novel by Jim Ware is is his standalone-looking tween/YA urban fantasy adventure rooted in historical mysticism and Irish folklore, starring some kids going on a quest to seek the Philosopher's Stone, which in turn leads them to look for the legendary Irish Stone of Destiny, only to find out that they're not the only ones hot on its trail, as other mystical creatures from the legends are also on the hunt, free courtesy of Christian publisher David C. Cook.

This actually looks moderately nifty and has promising-looking references to actual ancient Irish myths (and not just the modern faux-Celtified stuff about fairies and such that's been fashionable for ages) in the chapter titles in the TOC, and I'm impressed that the larger sizes of the maps linked to in the intro are still available online.

Anyway, it too has previously been offered free in 2013, but never got mentioned on MR, so might as well treat it as a new offering for today.

Currently free, probably just for the next couple of days @ B&N, Amazon (available to Canadians & in the UK), iTunes & Google Play (both available to Canadians), Kobo (not available to Canadians), ChristianBook (DRM-free ePub available to selected countries), and might also be free at other retailers listed on the publisher's webcatalogue page, where you can watch the book's video trailer.

Description
Morgan Izaak is obsessed with his father’s ancient books about the legendary Philosopher’s Stone; he’s even got a little alchemy lab set up in the church tower next door. And when Morgan and his best friend, Eny, find out about another mysterious stone that may be hidden in their own town—the Irish Stone of Destiny, called Lia Fail—he’s determined to find it because he thinks it’s the last hope for someone he holds dear. But Morgan’s not the only one looking for the Stone, and by the time the two middle schoolers realize there’s trouble afoot, Morgan has betrayed their friendship, strange creatures are loose in the land, and the Stone is lost … perhaps forever. Can Morgan find a way to help those he loves?
