I'm new to FFF, I've been following this thread for a while but I can't find a solution to my problem. I download fanfiction from AO3 and everything works perfectly expect for the titlepage that ignores the margins and shows like in the picture below. It only happens in the titlepage, the actual chapters are fine, but it's annoying. Is there anything I can do about it?
Also, some of the fics I download come with an extra 'chapter', the Update Log. Again, it's not the end of the world, but it's annoying that some files have and others don't. Is there anything I can do about this too? Thank you! |

I don't get the margin issue on titlepages on my Kobo Libra H2O.
Do you use any custom CSS? Additionally: Does anything change if you install Kobo Utilities calibre plugin and use the 'set font' option to change the margins? Note that the book has to be imported to the Kobo database for this to do anything. Last edited by ownedbycats; Yesterday at 08:36 PM. |

![]() I would speculate that ownedbycats is correct, maybe you have custom CSS that references <body class="fff_chapter"> while title page uses <body class="fff_titlepage">. I'd have to see an epub with the issue to know for sure. Quote:
Code:
## include a Update Log page before the story text. If 'true', the ## log will be updated each time the epub is and all the metadata ## fields that have changed since the last update (typically ## dateUpdated, numChapters, numWords at a minimum) will be shown. ## Great for tracking when chapters came out and when the description, ## etc changed. include_logpage: false |

![]() I've never edited the CSS and I can't find anything like that, but thank you! I've sorted out the Update Log issue! |

I have tried to disable all my plugins to see if anything was interfering with FFF, and I have reset my personal.ini to default, the text in the titlepage still goes over the screen margin (as I expected because I've had this issue since the very first moment, before I started editing the personal.ini).
I can't find anything about wrapping the text either, and I really don't know much (or anything at all) about CSS, so I wouldn't know where to start there. Is there anything else I can check? |

I assume you know that you have to do at least an FFF 'Update EPUB Always' if not an 'Overwrite Always' to update the epub? And send it to the ereader again?
I don't think you mentioned your ereader type--if Kindle, you also need to convert the updated epub to azw3 before sending (or enable FFF's 'Automatically Convert New/Updated Downloads' checkbox before updating). Or possibly delete it from the ereader and then resend it. I returned a Kobo reader several years ago because it didn't recognize updated files well. Again, I'd have to see your epub to tell you anything specific about the CSS. And/or the format sent to the ereader. |
