JC News Tribune
I'm trying to put together a recipe for the Jefferson City News Tribune. The basic news recipe works for the bulk of it but, the individual RSS feeds (for example) are full of CDATA stuff that gets pulled into the final export as the title of the articles in the menu. The result is functional but, messy.
Can anyone help me out here please? |

You should contact the website and get them to fix their RSS feeds. Failing that you can always use some regexps to clear up the title manually. Just implement parse_feeds in your recipe, calling the base class version and then running through the articles, fixing the titles/descriptions.

I think you are correct on the site needing to fix their feeds, today's feeds aren't nearly as bad. Thanks for the response.
