I've bought every one of those 10 years' releases of Webscriptions books. Anyone else done the same?

Here's to the next 10 years, hopefully their attitude to publishing and their customers will continue to get all the success it deserves.

To the links in the first post, I feel it's fair to add Eric Flint's short (and very pleasurable to read) articles about copyright and DRM and why they make no sense, as those articles reflect Jim Baen's thoughts on the matter. They're located on Baen's Universe pages, and listed on this page: http://www.ericflint.net/index.php/2...and-copyright/

Happy Birthday Baen!
Almost all of my e-books are bought from Baen. (Of course, thats because a great number of my p-books were from them, too) Thank you for DRM-free e-books! Eagle |

Baen has consistently shown that you can do the right thing and still be profitable from it.
Between Honor Harrington and Miles Vorkosigan, I have probably spent more on Hard Backs with Baen than with any other publisher (This was before I discovered ebooks). I currently have my eye on the A. Bertram Chandler stuff.... -- Bill |

Many years ago, when the Baen free ebooks site began, many of my friends made a point of going out and buying their hardback releases out of support for what they were doing, and because of the CDs which came with the hardbacks. I'm sure that others were doing the same -- and I've always held that Baen book prices were reasonable where other publishers seem to be out to strip you of even pocket lint.

Happy Anniversary, Baen Books!
My favorite place to shop for books and learn about authors I was unfamiliar with. |

I love Baen and I buy most of my ebooks through them. The free library is a great idea and I've picked up new series and new authors by being able to read the first book free.
I wish more publishers would realize that treating your customers fairly wins loyalty and treating them like criminals turns then into criminals. Three cheers for Baen! |
