Calibre on Netbooks

This is quite possibly a dumb question but I'm having a bit of a problem configuring Calibre so that it fits on a netbook screen (1024x600). I've made the icons smaller and removed the text from them which helped a lot but it would also be good to reduce the font size from what it currently is (about 16pt?) to 10pt or so. Unfortunately I'm not seeing a way to do this.

I'm running on Xubuntu 9.04 if that makes a difference

Francis

calibre uses whatever font and font size your system is setup to use. Try running qtconfig to set it. And calibre's GUI will soon be receiving various tweaks to make it more netbook friendly.

Thanks for the hint

On Xubuntu at least it seems like you have to sudo qtconfig to get the settings to stick. At least that's how it worked for me.

Hi

Great!
One of the machines I have Calibre is a UMPC (800x450 screen to 1024x600) and ways to make it more friendly in these less resolution screens is very welcome.

Best regards,

Calibre is already pretty usable (from my experience a few months ago) on a netbook, but a GUI tweak to improve it will be appreciated.

Thanks Kovid.

Here is a screen shot showing what I've been working on to make calibre more netbook friendly. Suggestions and comments are welcome. Oh, the status bar can be expanded into the detailed view, and the location area above the books shows up only when a device is connected. The search is also has a history drop down.
