Strange...I put a book in my cart, applied the coupon (and it said it accepted it), but the price didn't change. I'll try again later in case it was just a momentary glitch...

Could be the book you are trying buy isn't allowed a discount. I know Samhain is one of the ones the coupons don't work for. There may be other publishers there that are the same way.

Thank you for this. It helped me to purchase my first ebooks. Up until this point I was only reading fanfiction on my iPod touch. Bought 4 books with this and can't wait to dive in!

You're absolutely right -- it was from Samhain. I guess I've just never tried to buy one of theirs from FW.

I have never used fictionwise before, I am a bit confused about the formats I have a Sony reader and use Calibre with Alf pugins will I be able te read Fictionwise books?
The book I selected has this warning on it

One or more of the eBooks you are about to purchase is in Secure eReader format. This eBook format can be read on the iPhone and iPod touch, Palm OS devices, PocketPC 2002, Windows Mobile 2003 and later, PC/Mac and Symbian devices, using the eReader software. This file is encrypted using your name and credit card number and can only be opened using that data. Please also note that this format does not work on the Sony Reading device

I have never heard of secure ereader format is that an epub ? It states it can't be read on a sony does that still hold if you're using alf plugins

When you buy from them make sure it's format says multi-format not all books are.

In musltiformat there is an option for Sony reader.

I'm not sure if they work with calibre. When I buy from them I have them saved to sony's library software.

There is a calivre forum here you could go and ask there.
