Series info on kindle touch

Hi,

I have a kobo, and this shows series info for all my books. One of my kids has a kindle, and this doesn't appear to show series info. I've read that mobi doesn't have the correct metadata to show series info, but I wondered if the newer AZW3 format does? Or is renaming the titles the only way to see serie info on kindle?

Thanks!

That is correct; the "Dublin Core Metadata" standard, which both ePub and Mobi books use, does not include series information. You basically have two choices:

1. Use collections.
2. As you suggest, prefix the title with series information. If you use Calibre, this can be automated using a metadata plugboard.

I would say 3 choices.

3. 1 & 2

I use #3.

I know. I'm just throwing it out there as yet another option in case the OP didn't get #3.
