Google Play Books does not render text fully on screen.

Hi everyone.

I have been facing this issue on Google Play Books for Android. My device is Samsung Galaxy M32. I have been facing this issue since December 2021, when I bought this device. I think this might be an issue only for this device, but it hasn't been fixed since. I have reported this to google in feedback multiple times, but it doesn't seem to have an impact.

The problem is that sometimes, when viewing an epub file, some text is rendered off screen. I will attach screenshots, where you can see how there is some text at the bottom of the screen but it is cut off. I will also post the next page, and the text in a smaller size to show what is missing.

i have another device, a Lenovo M8 HD tab, on which this isn't an issue. And the web app also seems to be fine in this regard.

This doesn't happen on every page. Sometimes, two lines will be cut off, sometimes only half of the next line.

I use other apps now. But Play Books can sync across all my devices so I would prefer if this were fixed.

There is no issue with the book itself. It is a public domain epub from standardebooks. And it didn't have any problems when I checked it with epubcheck.
