ePub
Which reader(s) do not support epub? I believe that the Kindle is the only one.

As far as I know, the only eBook reader not supporting ePub (that's still sold) is the kindle.

With the Cybooks you have the possibility to decide between using the mobi or the epub firmware and the mobi firmware can't read epub files.
(Of course you can change your firmware anytime you wish to do so.) |

Does Amazon also sell epub format?
I want to read some Harry Turtledove and the books that I can get in electronic format leaves somewhat to be desired. With more stores to buy from comes an increased ability to find the product that I want. |

Amazon does not sell epub however, Turtledove appears to be available in epub formats.
See inkmesh search here: http://inkmesh.com/search/?qs=Harry+...nE=Find+Ebooks |

Baen Books seems to have several books by Harry Turtledove: www.webscription.net.

I was buying Amazon books before I had my Kindle. If you can't find an epub version anywhere, you just follow Apprentice Alf's instructions and then convert your book to epub. This takes about 5 minutes.

An ereader may support the epub format, but that does not mean they support DRMed epub. Big difference. I've seen a few posts, on this site, from people who bought DRM epub but their ereader did not support DRM epub.

They might be a special case, but in the US they account for 75% of the epub market. If you cut out Amazon and cut out B&N, that leaves you with 5% of the market. And if you cut out Apple's Epub, that leaves you with ... well, maybe 4% of the market.
