It didn't work for me

Put the FWUO one in first -- kindle didn't detect any update so I put the second file in. This time, it updated to...2.3.3 (from 2.3.3) :P
In USB mode, the Update_431..etc. file disappeared, the FWUO file is still there.

It is still sending - 26 megs in all - should I separate them - can you email handle files that big?

Did not try your specific files, waiting to get Pushka's 2.3.4 version first.

Then I'll compare the two files.

In the past, all of the releases have been for each specific version of the firmware. Yours went from 2.3.3 to 2.5, I have 2.3.4 as does Pushka so I'm assuming her update was different.

Pusha: I believe the files will be in their original format - on mediafire it shows - download file and once downloaded, you should be able to put the files in the Kindle's main directory and then try the update kindle option in your settings.

Ruh oh... I think Gmail can receive and send 25mb attachments, no idea if that is per file or email, but i'm guessing it's email...

Ok, rapidshare is slow too. I guess because outlook is still sending the email. This is one of the file names: 431108003_472900057.bin
The other is FWUO_update-03-431108003-4

Both are 13megs approx and they came thru at 9.20am SA time - exactly an hour ago, which is the same time I also got the 2.3.4 download (but missed it coz I had the hacks one)

Still sending/uploading. Sigh.

Johnny, it finished sending.

Is there another sharesystem I can use? Rapidshare is doing nothing! I think I am very good not touching my kindle til I can see if this works! PS, it is early morning my time so I got all day to get this sorted.

Have a K2i 2.3.3 and tried both files (I gave the one without an extension a .bin extension)--both proceeded to update the Kindle, but the firmware remained 2.3.3 after the process.
