Norbert Davis (1909-1949) was a prolific pulp writer with several continuing series, of which the Doan and Carstairs stories are the best known. However his unique blend of hard boiled crime and humour didn't quite catch on.

This volume, prepared for MobileRead Forums, contains 7 stories, all from Internet Archive, including one of the only two Doan and Carstairs short stories, "lost" for many years: "Cry Murder".
