Due to the lack of responses -- had no problem with them in 1.1.1, didn't try in 1.2 yet. Doubt they broke it.

Thanks a lot! I am looking for the solution to view russian language FB2's and hopefully converting them to EPUBs with embedded fonts will work.

Use sorotkin's epubgen and make sure to embed the fonts -- it should work just fine. Actually, just tried it with 1.2 -- works just fine.

I tried Thai embedded font epub on 1.2, no problem in displaying Thai characters correctly; but it wont' wrap sentence which is a typical problem with any devices not supporting Thai hyphenation.
Yes, Russian embedded font should work fine. |

Thanks a lot for the good advice, epubgen made perfectly readable russian EPUBs out of a couple of FB2s. Somehow I expected this to be a lot harder, with a tool like epubgen, one could say that Nook supports FB2 fully. One small caveat is that the fonts take some space and what would normally be 0.4M book turns out as 1.5MB one. Well, given the fact that 16G microSD costs under $50 this is not a big problem

Well, if you find a tool to create nook-readable PDB files from fb2, you might not need to embed fonts at all.
