Could OpenInkpot ever be used on the Ectaco JetBook?

How good is the propability for ever using OpenInkpot on JetBook/ JetBook Lite ?

Can someone with a trained eye say if it is, technically spreaking, either extremely difficult or a likely future possibility?

Infi gives some links about the hacking progress from threads by Sobkas and gr8npwrfl. The reveresed engenering this far looks something like this:

And we're talking about it (with admittedly not much progress on my part due to work) in this thread, including gr8npwrfl's work on an Android port, also:

I got very curious about the possibility of OpenInkpot on JetBook lite when i read "Nate the great´s" blogg entry:

I was talking with LunohoD at http://irc.openinkpot.org about OpenInkpot on Jetbook.

It seems like the Jetbook (CPU: ARM9 200MHz, SDRAM: 64M) have a M218A structure https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Dr._Yi
It seems to run X and OpenInkpot work even with stock Kernel.

Here is a copy of our chat about the absolute basics (i asked for LunohoD´s permission to quote this)
Quote:
15:04 Schopenhauer What do you think would be the hardest thing of it all, initially?
15:05 LunohoD porting the linux kernel
15:06 Schopenhauer What is the kind of "basic procedure" that is needed to try to port the kernel?
15:07 LunohoD someone with serial console should take our rootfs, chroot inside and try running applications. if it works, porting kernel is an optional task.
15:08 LunohoD well, basic procedure is to find some skilled kernel hackers
Kind and skilled kernel hackers, would you like to participate with this "basic procedure" (to let yourself be found), and then enthusiastically unite and try to pull this off together with the rest of us?

I think it would be cool to run OpenInkpot on the Jetbook Lite. If it ever is developed, I'd be willing to try it.

I am thinking about getting a jetBook lite because of the extremely low price. If it lends itself more to developers, that is a big plus. I'm not so kernel-savvy, but I know a few guys that can program, and try some multivariate testing in developing plugins and apps, so I'll try and get the word out the best I can.
